Traveling south on the M6
If you are coming from junction 40 off the M6, take the second exit from the roundabout for the A66 in the Penrith/Brough direction. Once off the roundabout get into the right hand lane. At the Kemplay Roundabout (next/second roundabout) take the fourth turning towards Shap A6, continue through Clifton and Hackthorpe and then proceed as noted below. Two miles beyond Hackthorpe take the left hand turn, signed to Little Strickland. (This lane is known as “The Narrows” there are frequent passing places, however, if you would rather avoid it, stay on the A6 and take the next left hand turning for Morland and follow the final section of the directions noted above). Enter the hamlet with the Church on your left. Turn left at the far end of the graveyard, for Great Strickland, (our Strickland Hall sign shows at the end of the Church yard above the wall) and immediately turn right up the track to the right hand side of the green village hall. Again Strickland Hall is at the top of the track. On arrival to Strickland Hall, guest parking is provided to the right hand side of the driveby the hedge, as you pass over the cattle grid.
